Message from ACHPER National President on World Teachers' Day

Today, Friday 26 October, is World Teachers' Day in Australia. This day recognises the importance of the teacher's role in the development of children and young people.
The Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER) is proud of the professionalism of its members and the impact and influence they have on the learning, health and well being, and safety of their students.
ACHPER believes that an educated nation of healthy young people is the best investment that can be made for the future.
On this important day we acknowledge and thank all of those teachers who commit to this goal and work so hard to achieve it.
