2011 Conference Proceedings

Thank you to the over 405 delegates, 3 sponsors, 12 trade exhibitors, and in kind supporters who attended the outstandingly successful 27^th ACHPER International Conference.

There were many highlights and delegates responded very positively to the input of all the Keynote speakers.The concurrent sessions and the panels on sport and education, and the National Currculum, attracted keen interest and comment. The hosting and social activities arranged by ACHPER SA provided the perfect balance to the professional program.

In summing up the Conference program, Dr Graham Dodd, Conference Program Chair, identified how important it was for ACHPER and the wider profession to move forward with some of the innovative ideas presented, particularly in regard to the development of the National Curriculum and the way Health and Physical Education is taught in schools.
