I believe most graduates are under prepared for teaching health and physical education, however those students of us who make the choice to complete extra courses and specialisations in HPE seem to be very prepared for teaching. As a first year teacher this year working in HPE I feel I am satisfactorily prepared for the job and have not had any trouble teaching HPE, however I did do a HPE specialisation through my primary teaching degree.

Recently a first year graduate joined my faculty and she is brilliant. She is highly qualified, highly motivated and highly professionsal.
We had 94 applicants for the position and being a Prep - Year 12 College the competition was fierce and high quality.
Her knowledge of the QCAR Essential Learnings as well as the QSA Syllabus is very thorough. She exhibits excellent inter-personal skills in communiation and endeavours to seek feedback on quality practice.
She has come very well prepared and is willing to accpet change and feedback regularly.
